Small Business Rocks!

According to several sources, many within our own government, Small and Midsize Businesses (SMBs) make up “99.7 percent of all U.S. employers” [1]. Micro-Businesses, usually 10 or fewer employees, “represent as much as 15 percent of the U.S. economy” [2] and have been cited as making up 78.8 percent of all U.S. employers [3].

Those are some pretty amazing numbers and it’s no coincidence that Bullfrog Sweatshop loves SMBs.  We are a small business ourselves and are proud to contribute to the largest economic engine in the United States.  We understand the unique challenges that SMBs face every day like meeting deadlines, keeping products in stock, managing financials and finding time to promote the business.

At Bullfrog Sweatshop, my “title” says I am a senior developer but my title doesn’t tell you that I’m also a blog author, salesperson, janitor, technical writer, secretary or support person.  Do you own a construction company?  I bet your title doesn’t explain how you also work in the accounting, HR, marketing and customer service departments.  Do you own a small shop?  I bet your title won’t tell me how you spend your nights placing orders and stocking shelves.

What other roles do you perform for your small business?  Leave a comment and let us know!
